(HBO Europe)

angol This is essentially a retelling of the first story from the comic series "Justice League," created by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee. I almost want to say that's it. There are familiar superheroes here, and it's action-packed, but essentially it's nothing more than DC's version of "The Avengers." I don't enjoy these movies - they are for die-hard fans and I'm obviously not one of them. Tt also doesn't stand out in terms of filmmaking. Lego: Batmanis a class better and more entertaining. ()

angol This is the ideal material after reading the biography of Geoff Johns, who became a DC leader without even trying. I'm still not entirely sure about the decision not to adapt stories other than those from The New 52 for the future, but so far they're doing well. Diana didn't miss her opportunity and everything fell into place like a puzzle, so Darkseid scraped off and the Super Seven cartoon series can continue. ()

angol Since Justice League is now in movie theaters as a full-fledged film, I thought I’d start revisiting this animated series to refresh my memory of the best heroes from the DC universe. Jay Oliva is a genius (his The Dark Knight Returns was excellent, especially the second part with the Joker, which I’d undoubtedly rank as number one in the realm of animated superhero films), but this Justice League felt a bit rough around the edges. I struggled to orient myself in the timeline, as the members didn’t really know each other and only formed the actual Justice League at the end. Perhaps that’s my fault; I should check out the earlier episodes to see if I missed something. Batman was the standout character, delivering a few witty lines (the film wouldn’t have worked without him). I was a bit disappointed by the absence of Aquaman, whom I consider an important team member, so I’m not sure where he was swimming at the time. The action was above average, and it was great to see Darkseid, the greatest DC villain, who hadn’t appeared before. But it didn’t leave a particularly strong impression on me. I give it 64%. ()
