It's not as comedic as I thought, but the characters played by Patrick Wilson and Katherine Heigl are so interesting that I just had to start enjoying it gradually. Plus, it's so beautifully gory. It's just a shame that most of the other characters are lackluster, especially Chi McBride's, which disappointed me a lot, similar to Jim Belushi's.

Night light flows outside and I don’t want to sleep. There’s a movie on TV that looks terribly boring, but mightbe still better than staring at the wall. Result? Staring at the wall is more enjoyable. One can come up with something decent while doing that. The only plus of this film is probably Katherine Heigl, who obviously enjoyed playing her character.

Watchable mainly thanks to the excellent trio of Patrick Wilson, the devilish Katherine Heigl and the sexy Jordana Brewster. The humour is tame, but the fun shines through and there's some delightful blood at the end. I had fun, but it's not more than 3*. 65%.

I'm giving one star because it was the first film I’ve seen which made perfect use of the totally plastic-looking facial expressions which Katherine Heigl has become notorious for. The other star is for the fact that the film got a bit more entertaining the moment Mona turned into Dexter. The story was dull until then, but this change paradoxically brought some life to this disaster.
