angol "There is something deeply divine in the possibility of turning a suffering being into forever soulless matter..." Ennio Morricone's minimalism with psychedelic tones is merely a complement to the attractive form of the Storaro brand. Fish-eye lenses, voyeurism, play with light and shadows, the color gray of brutalism, and in nearly every shot, reflections whether in window panes, glasses, glossy surfaces, or the azure irises of investigator Franco Nero. The shade of his dark circles suggests how deeply immersed he is in the investigation, entangled in the police loop, while the solution has been right in front of him the whole time in the pseudo-scientific column of the magazine he writes for. And with that, we arrive at the content, which hasn't even remotely surpassed the shadow of its genre. ()
