(RTL Klub)

angol Being promiscuous doesn't really pay off, because then something terrible might happen to you – you'll end up with a daughter. It's hard to understand why the main character of the film is so promiscuous. Yes, he's a guy, but his appearance is... well, if anything, it's irritating. This man finds out he has a daughter, and the mistress who gave birth to the child leaves him in charge of their offspring. The basic plot of the Mexican film is quite clear. At times, it tries too hard to be emotional, sometimes the comedy is funny, and other times not at all. It's one of those modern blends of comedy, drama, and romance that unfortunately doesn't bring anything extra. Maybe it’s average, but only if you're in the right mood. The film once again teaches us that some people are just selfish and only care about themselves. However, because of the botched, terribly sentimental ending, I have to rate it a bit below average. angol After seeing a few of his comedies, Eugenio Derbez is for me a guarantee of unique and quality humor. And I didn’t know that he was behind the idea that the French made into the film Two Is a Family three years later. And even though I found the European version more relatable to, I definitely wasn’t bored while watching this comedy. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. ()

angol I first saw the French remake, which is one of the best that came out this year and the Mexican original is not even close to the remake. The plot is exactly the same, but the film lacks any emotion and humour and the acting is incomparably weaker. Another example where the remake is more better. 60% ()
