Arra a helyre, ahol két évvel ezelőtt az új életre támadó boszorkány kegyetlenül elbánt azzal az öt - csupán holtában híressé vált - amatőrfilmessel. Amikor a média fölkapta az eseményeket, a helyet elözönlötték a kíváncsi kalandvágyó emberek. Jeff (Jeffrey Donovan) a hiszékenyekből él: emléktárgyakat árul és túrákat vezet a rémüldözni vágyók számára. Csakhogy az a négy ember, akit most vezet a film forgatásának emlékeihez, a boszorkány lakhelyére, különös társaság: van köztük igazi boszorkány, horror-rock rajongó valamint két tudós, aki a boszorkáról írja disszertációját. Amikor leszáll az éjszaka elszabadul a pokol. A megrémült emberek kénytelenek Rustin Parr (Raynor Scheine), a nyolcszoros gyerekgyilkos házában tölteni az éjszakát. Reggel jönnek rá, hogy az éjfél körüli öt óra teljesen kitörlődött emlékeikből. Márpedig a testükön növekvő sebhelyek azt jelzik, éppen abban az öt órában rettentő dolgok történtek velük. (Mirax)

The concept behind the ingenious first film is gone, and a group of anonymous teenagers head to the Maryland woods to experience the local atmosphere. Though this film is thematically interchangeable with any unsuccessful piece of horror nonsense, it earns valuable points precisely because it is not so much a straightforward sequel as a partial homage to the first film. I have such a deep-rooted memory of that one that when the characters started talking about being in the exact places they know from the movie, it worked for me. However, it would require some kind of climax at the end, and not just some timid wink and attempt to impress. After all, it did a good job of incorporation the mythology of the Blair Witch.

This is one of those horrors that you shouldn't bother seeing because their only intention is to capitalize on people who liked the first film or perhaps believed in it. However, this is definitely not the way to build a myth. It's as if they didn't really bother with the screenplay; they just piled up all the foolish ideas that came to mind, resulting in something that can't even be considered a coherent piece. This isn't myth-building; it's just empty commercialism.
