Belgrádban a melegek meg szeretnék rendezni az első Büszkeség Menetet, de ebben sem a közvélemény, sem a rendőrség nem támogatja őket. A sors fintora, hogy végül egy homofób középkorú maffiózó áll melléjük, aki a délszláv háború alatt kiépített kapcsolatrendszerét felhasználva szervezi meg a melegek védelmét: egy szerb, horvát, bosnyák és albán ex-katonákból, illetve szerb melegekből álló valószerűtlen csapat száll szembe végül a felfegyverzett bőrfejűekkel. angol With political correctness spreading around and infesting everything, I’m becoming increasingly fond of films made in Hungary and the Balkans. It must be a real adrenaline rush to fight for one's rights in countries where dialogue can only begin if both sides survive the first encounter. I was far from disappointed. The distinctive Balkan humor (which really suits me) enriched the central serious theme, and the road trip around the former Yugoslavia almost made me laugh my head off. The film was populated with quirky characters and kept me entertained until the end credits. ()

angol The ethnic conflict in the Balkans is likely to be eternal, and mixed into that is the general hostility toward the gay community. Taking these realities and making a film that is both funny and touching at the same time seems almost impossible to me. And behold, the creators of the film Pride succeeded in doing just that. While there are a few clichés present, overall it's an original, mostly humorous spectacle with a bitter ending and a significant human dimension. ()

angol Uncompromising Balkan event, it's just a shame she didn't know if she wanted to be a drama or a comedy. The subject sounds like an incredible satire. However, only until you realize that in Serbia (and generally in the Balkans) there is an enormous amount of scoundrels you wouldn't want to meet somewhere on a street in Belgrade. Especially if you're gay. The guys here handled it with absolute ease and personally I have to say that the road trip through the Balkans and collecting war veterans from all political factions of the former Yugoslavia was such fun that if similar ease was at the end, then I would give it a definite five stars. However, the creators wanted it a little differently and I still bow to them. Pride is a very high-quality movie experience that deserves the attention of anyone who loves the Balkans... and movies.
