The entire film is accompanied by a song that most of us know. This motif is something I never tire of, but of course, the film doesn't rely solely on that. We delve further into Ip Man's past, discovering where he learned the art of Wing Chun and how he refined it. There are political elements and elements of oppression here, but romance also comes to the forefront, which is quite a pleasant addition. The younger actor retains everything that Donnie Yen had, perhaps only lacking some of his charisma. The film lacks more scenes that focus on fights.
