Ben megszerezte a diplomáját. A nyáron pihenni, kikapcsolódni akar, ezért a világ másik végére, Kambodzsába utazik. Az egyik Phnom Penh-i bárban találkozik a huszonegy éves pultoslánnyal, Sreykeoval. A két fiatal között nem várt, bizonytalan kapcsolat bontakozik ki. Miután Ben visszatér a hazájába, Németországba, megtudja, hogy Sreykeo beteg. Felelősséget érezve iránta elhatározza, hogy megmenti a lányt. Az út azonban hosszú, és kanyarokkal teli, melynek során megtapasztalja az élet árnyékos és napos oldalát. (Filmcafe)

After a long time I finally saw a really good European film on Cinemax, this time from Germany, a country that just a few years back everyone could only curse about. Wherever you go is a beautiful life story about love. About people who care. A really nice film. Cambodia is beautiful in it and when the film turns more towards Germany, it gets a bit boring. But towards the end it gains strength and that's essential.

It's rare to make a film about great love where one of the partners falls ill with a fatal disease without it becoming a real wringer of emotions. Here I feel that the German filmmakers truly succeeded. Apart from the story itself, you may be intrigued by the exotic Cambodian setting in which much of the action takes place. The meticulously arranged soundtrack, featuring both European and Asian music, also deserves special attention. (75%)
