Legenda o sv. Prokopu

I generally really like puppet animation or stop-motion animation, as well as the visual style of Trnka's works, but here I just couldn't quite get past the puppets. They're not pretty. The environment is beautifully crafted, as well as all the objects, but the puppets themselves are simply ugly. The musical aspect of the short film unnecessarily dominates and pushes forward at the expense of the plot. (2014.01.06)
