A straightforward bit-action bit-thriller that doesn't want to be anything more, and that's what's likeable about it. The brilliant Allison Janney in the lead role quickly won me over and I believed everything she said; the script, with one surprising revelation, I suspected was an adaptation of a good book, but it's not, and that’s another good thing. And the atmosphere of the empty, rain-soaked forests is worth millions. (2022.09.25)

This project probably wasn’t going to be groundbreaking. But despite everything, I hoped for a slightly better-executed experience. I liked the setting in the genuine American countryside; no repulsive CGI, so that's definitely a thumbs up. On the acting front, praise goes to Allison Janney, whose badass character kept the film at least within average territory. However, what I can’t forgive the film for is its storyline. At times, it tries to shock, but let’s be honest… It lacks any arsenal that could truly surprise. The plot is incredibly simplistic. And unfortunately, there’s no major catharsis at the end, so don’t count on that. At least it offers a decent contact fight halfway through, with plenty of blood and solid choreography. But even so, it's pretty disappointing. A forgettable one-off. For me, it’s 5/10. (2022.10.16)
