Mi tehet a magányos lápi lány? Azt amit mindig csinált a mocsárban: beleolvad a természetbe, menekül, bujkál és berendezkedik a túlélésre. (InterCom)

angol This is one of those stories where everything feels just right. The tale of the main character living in the middle of the marshes is steeped in lifelong trauma, driving the plot forward. The narrative is beautifully told, and the period setting of North Carolina is stunningly depicted — watching those marshes is truly a treat. I generally love stories about outcasts, people who are shunned for no apparent reason (often just for being different), only to reveal a much deeper reality. Where the Crawdads Sing is definitely worth watching. It's one of the most compelling American dramas of recent years. ()

angol Where the Crawdads Sing captivates the viewer firstly with its beautiful scenery of vast swamps and secondly with its story, although it felt like a romance novel at times. Alongside the sharp David Strathairn and the sleazy Harris Dickinson, I was drawn to the hitherto unknown Daisy Edgar-Jones, who was the perfect embodiment of wild innocence (or innocent wildness). In addition to the crime and love story plots, I was intrigued by the nature illustration line (I immediately thought of the documentary Birds of America). In the end, the film may seem like an over-sweetened fairy tale, but even such stories can appeal to me. ()

angol Wow. At first Where the Crawdads Sing appears to be a courtroom whodunit, but it very quickly switches to pure story-drama, which at first I didn't find very fortunate, but I soon found that the story is so strong and so clearly drawn that after watching it I feel like I've known the main character for years. And that's an emotion I don't get during the vast majority of movies. Here we have the basic premise of a "guess what happened" trial backed by a chillingly told story set in a visual feast in the swamps, with an excellent lead actress and a roller coaster of emotions. In the finale we also get a dense trial and an atmospherically powerful verdict, and as much as I didn't like the final five-minute epilogue with the aging characters, or rather it was redundant and unnecessary, the final twist in the last few seconds brought me to my needs. Solid filmmaking and exactly the kind of film for all types of viewers. ()
